Sheel Shah, Founder of Lerina
I started Lerina because I love working with passionate founders and purposeful IP that can genuinely connect with an audience.
I draft off that energy and help turn it into momentum that accelerates growth, deepens connection, and builds organic commercialization that never takes away from what matters most, the connection itself.
I’ve led small teams and enterprise organizations, built with creators and C-suite execs, and learned that the work that moves audiences is always the same: clear story, real trust, consistent delivery.
Over the last fifteen years, I’ve helped creators and media companies scale what they’ve built into something stronger, more sustainable, and more valuable.
Sweaty and strategic. That’s our approach.
At Audiochuck, I served as Chief Growth Officer and the first executive hire after a $40MM investment, leading growth across audience, community, and consumer revenue for a $200M+ creator-led podcast network and home to Crime Junkie, the #1 podcast in the world. I rebuilt audience momentum in audio, drove exponential growth for our YouTube channels, launched new lines in subscriptions and commerce, and helped evolve a podcast network into a fully diversified media business.
Before that, at Hearst, I led growth and consumer revenue across six iconic titles — including Men’s Health, Popular Mechanics, and Oprah Daily. I helped transform legacy magazines into modern digital brands, evolving our content strategy, scaling subscription and commerce revenue, developing partnerships with the biggest platforms, and driving double-digit EBITDA growth.
Earlier, at BuzzFeed, I was part of the early team that turned an ad-driven publisher into a diversified digital business, helping launch the company’s first e-commerce division and branded video partnerships with Amazon and Walmart.
Through Lerina, I bring that same mix of creativity and operational rigor to creators who are ready to grow.
